We do not sell the information collected at spreadthevote.org. By providing your personal information, you give us consent to use the information only for the purpose for which it was collected. We describe those purposes when we collect information. We will ask for your consent before using the information you provide for any secondary purpose other than those required by Federal law. We may share the information you provide with our employees or volunteers at Spread The Vote on a “need-to-know” basis.

In seeking a volunteer position with Spread The Vote, you may decide to submit, through our sites or otherwise, personally identifiable information (including your name, address, telephone number, email address and other personally identifiable information). All information entered into any online forms related to volunteering is strictly private, and will be viewed only by Spread The Vote for human resource purposes. No information stored or submitted in the online forms will be used for any purpose other than to assess your qualifications as a volunteer for Spread The Vote.
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying Federal Trade Commission regulation establish United States Federal law that protects the privacy of children using the Internet. We encourage parents and teachers to involve themselves in children’s Internet explorations. We do not knowingly solicit any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Children under 13 are not authorized to make a donation or sign up as a volunteer or otherwise provide any personally identifiable information to Spread The Vote.

Spread The Vote uses third party social media sites to encourage public interaction with Spread The Vote and in general make our content available in other formats or forums. Please be aware that the privacy protection provided on third party social media sites may not be the same as the privacy protections described for Spread The Vote’s website at spreadthevote.org. While we do moderate comments or opinions made on third party social media sites, we do not collect, maintain, or disseminate any personally identifiable information made available to Spread The Vote by those sites or users of those sites.
